 BY: Corrigan, FitzGerald, <br />RESOLUTION NO. 748 -~00 George, Roth, Seelie, Skindell, Smith. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to recognize members of The Lakewood Division of Police and all <br />peace officers during National Police Week 2000, <br /> WHEREAS, the week of May 14th through May 20th has been designated as National <br />Police Week, 2000; mad <br /> WHEREAS, May 18"' is National Peace Officers' Memorial Day when we honor those <br />who have made the ultimate sacrifice and recognize those who work daily to protect and serve <br />the citizens of our community: and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the public service rendered by the members of <br />the Lakewood Division of Police and peace officers nationally be given public cognizance and <br />recognition dm'lng this time; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Lakewood, State of Ohio: <br /> Section 1. That this Council mad Mayor, hereby extend to the members of the <br /> Lakewood Division of Police and peace officers across the nation its appreciation for their public <br /> service. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
