RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />7487-00 <br /> <br /> BY: Corrigan, <br />George, Roth, Seelie, <br /> <br />FitzGerald, <br />Skindell, <br /> Smith. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION extending our congratulations and appreciation to Maria's Roman <br />Room for forty years of serving Lakewood families and friends~ <br /> <br />WHEREAS Mafia's Roman Room opened on its present site in March 1960 as.a small <br />pizza shop, <br /> <br />WHEREAS Maria's Roman Room expanded in the mid 1960's to become a full service <br />Italian Restaurant <br /> <br />WHEREAS Maria's Roman Room remodeled in the 1990's and maintained its facade in <br />concert with the city of Lakewood's historic neighborhood <br /> <br />WHEREAS Mafia's Roman Room has been operated throughout the years by the Bastulli <br />family including Mafia, her son Peter and her daughter Lisa; <br /> <br />WHEREAS Mafia's Roman Room has watched families grow up in Lakewood -- babies <br />who ate pasta at Maria's, later brought their dates to Maria's and now bring their children <br />and in some cases grand children to Maria's <br /> <br />WHEREAS Mafia's is a community Institution that has many loyal, long-time employees <br />who are Lakewood residents; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS Mafia's is sometimes called the "Best kept secret in Lakewood" <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br />Section 1. That this Council and Mayor, hereby extend to Maria's Roman Room it's <br />appreciation and that of all the citizens of this community for forty years of warm and <br />welcoming service to Lakewood. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed to <br />forward a copy of this Resolution to Maria Bastulli, and that a copy of this Resolution be <br />spread upon the minutes of the meeting, <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />President <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />MaYor / <br /> <br /> <br />
