RESOLUTION NO. ? S 01- 00 <br /> <br /> BY:Corrigan, FitzGerald, George <br />Roth, Seelie, Skindell, Smith. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend Mr. Norm Townsend for his dedicated <br />service as a volunteer at Lakewood Hospital for nearly 25 years. <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Townsend has volunteered over 24,762 hours at the <br />hospital working in almost every department; maintaining equipment, doing inventory, <br />transporting patients and supporting staff; <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Townsend has set an example for others as an <br />exemplary citizen of our community, one whose quiet good works and unassuming <br />good will improved the quality of life for hundreds of our citizens; <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Townsend has spent most of his life in Lakewood. Mr. <br />Townsend was married to wife Helen for 59 years and together they raised their son, <br />Richard; <br /> WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the dedicated service rendered by <br /> Mr. Norm Townsend be given public cognizance and recognition now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That this Cou ncil and Mayor, hereby extend to Norm Townsend <br /> its appreciation and that of all of the citizens of this community for his dedicated <br /> volunteer service with the Lakewood Hospital and further that this Council and Mayor <br /> wish him continued years of health, happiness and prosperity. <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and <br /> directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Norm Townsend, and that a <br /> copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of the meeting. <br /> <br /> PRESIDENT <br /> <br /> <br />
