RESOLUTION NO 7540-01 <br /> <br />BY' Corrigan, FitzGerald, George, Roth, Seelie, Skindei1, <br /> Smith. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Mayor to submit budget adjustments to tho ~iscal Year <br />2001 One-Year Action Plan of the Consolidated Plan. which includes dollar allocations and activities for federal <br />Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") funds, and incurporares the City's application for CDBG funds <br />HOME Investment Parmersh~p funds. Emergency Shelter Grant ("ESG") funds, and all amendments thereto and all <br />understandings end assurances contained therein, to tho U S Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUDj <br /> <br /> WFiEREA8 _ tho Secrctmy of HUD is authorized by various Federal Acts to make grants to umts of general local <br />govenmlont to finence community davalopmenl programs; and <br /> <br /> WItEREA$. the City is annually required, with the participation and approval of irs Citizens Advisory <br />Commuree ("CAC'i, to submit a One-Year Action Plan update of its Consolidated Plan to serve as a planning <br />document and application for fiscal year allocations for venous HUD programs, including CDBG funds, HOME <br />Investment Partaership funds, and ESG funds; and <br /> <br /> Whereas. the Citizens Advisory Committee has reviewed and approved a proposal to authorize a multi-year <br />certification for the expenditure of CDBG funds for FY 2000_ FY 2001 and FY 2002 in the FY 2001 One-Year Action <br />Plan of the Consolidated Plan: end <br /> <br /> W ~HEREAS, after passage of Resolution 7513-00 on November 20, 2000, the City submitted an application for <br />FY 2001 federal grants on November 22, 2000 and did, in that connection, and as reqmrod by and pursuant to the <br />vanuns Federal Acts and Regulations of HUD. submit a FY 2001 Oan-Year Action Plan of the Consolidated Plen, <br />which incorporated the City's application for federal CDBG finals, HOME Investment Partnership funds, ESG funds. <br />and cormnunity developinent objectives and projected use of fonds, mad which contains local objectives, a description <br />of acfivines to be undertaken, a budge~ and certifications in the form of assurances: and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after submissinn of the FY 200t One-Year Action Plan of the Consolidated Plen. the City was <br />notified by HUD. on Jenuary 19e~ 2001, that en additional $109.000 of Conunumty Development Block Grent funds, <br />above the $2,560,000 originally anticipated had been awarded; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Conunittee had announced intentions, on September 21, 2000 to <br />recommend the reallocatioh of approximately $67,750 in unspent Conunudity Development Block Grant funds; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Committee mot again on January 31, 2001 and considered budget <br />adjustments, afar a public hearing, to tho FY 2001 One-Year Action Plan of the ConsoLidated Plan; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CrI'Y OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1 That the FY 2001 One-Year Action Plan of the Cormblidated Plan, as reviewed and <br />approved by the CAC} will reflect budget adjustments as recOmmended by the Citizens Advisory Commirteo on <br />January 31; 200I as shown in Exhibit A, <br /> <br /> Section 2 That tho Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to submit to HUD, budget <br />adjustments to the FY 2001 One-Year ActiOn Plan of the Consolidated Plan, as reviewed and approved by file Citizens <br />Advisory Committee <br /> <br /> Section 3. That the Mayor is hereby authorized end directed to act in connect/on with submission <br />of the budget adjustments to the FY 2001 One-Year Action Plan of the Consolidated Plan and to provide such <br />additional information as may be required <br /> <br /> Section 4 It is found and dctermined that all formal actions of tiffs Council concerning and <br />relating to the passage of this Resolution were adopted In en open meeting of this Council, and that all such <br />deliberations of this Council and any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, were in meetings open to <br />the public, in COmpLiance with all l~gal requirements <br /> <br />PRESIDENT <br /> <br /> <br />
