RESOLUTION NO. 7568-01 <br /> <br />BY: Corrigan, FitzGerald, George, Roth, <br /> Seelie, Sktndell, Smith. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to recognize the 20 years of outstanding service given to this <br />community by the Lakewood Division of Youth. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, since its inception, Lakewood Youth Services has worked in <br />partnership with parents, young people and the community to provide a wide range of highly <br />accessible, caring and unique services to meet the ever-Changing needs of young people and <br />families and promote the health and well-being of indiv duals, families and the community; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, since 1980 the Division of Youth has been able to generate over <br />3.25 million dollars in outside funding assisting the City in strengthening partnerships and <br />expanding services to Lakewood families and the community; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Division of Youth has worked to strengthen the fabric of the <br />Lakewood community by providing youth development initiatives that enable young people to <br />build resilience and problem-solving skills while discovering the value of community <br />involvement; and . <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The Division of Youth has worked to develop and maintain strong <br /> ties with citizens, institutions and corn munity organizations in the Division's ongoing efforts to <br /> maintain a strong and caring community for Lakewood's young people and families and ensure <br /> that Lakewood will remain, for young and old alike, a great Place to call home. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the services rendered by Lakewood <br /> Division of Youth be given pUblic cognizance and recognition, now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and Mayor, hereby extend to Lakewood Division of <br />Youth, volunteers and supporters its appreciation and that of all of the citizens of this <br />community for their dedicated service to the youtl-i of the Lakewood Community. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the.
