REFERRED TO FINANCE COMMITTEE 9/17/01. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 7591-01 BY: Corrigan, FitzGerald, George, Roth, <br /> Seelie, Skindell, Smith. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, for and on behalf of the City, to seek financial assistance <br />from the State [ssue Two Infrast~ructure Bond Program for funding of the 2002 Water Main Replacement <br />Program. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Article VZLt of the Ohfo Constitution, the State is authorized to issue bonds <br />and other obligations of the State of Ohio for the purpose of financing public infrasl~ucture capital <br />improvements of political subdivisions as designated by law; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section :t6~.06 of the Ohio Revised Code, the District One Public Works <br />Integrating Committee is authorized to accept, evaluate and recommend applications for state finandng <br />of capital infrastructure improvement projects of political subdivisions in Cuyahoga county; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 164.05 of the Ohio Revised Code, the Director of the Ohio Public <br />Works commission is authorized to accept and approve applications for state financing of capital <br />infrastructure improvement project of political subdivisions in Cuyahoga county; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood has conducted a capital inventory and needs assessment and <br />has determined that it is necessary and desirable to apply for State Issue Two ]~nfrestructure Bond <br />program funds for funding of the 2002 Water Main Replacement Program. Now, therefore <br /> <br />BE 1T RESOLVED BY THE ClTY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, for and on behalf of the City, is hereby authorized to apply to <br />the District One Public Works Integrating committee and the Director of the Ohio Public Works <br />Commission for financial assistance for the following capital improvement projects: <br /> <br /> water Main Replacement Program <br /> <br /> · Sloane Avenue (Detroit Avenue to West Clifton Boulevard) <br /> · Hilliard Road (Madison Avenue to Warren Road) <br /> <br /> Section 2. ' ~he Mayor, for and on behalf nf the City, is further authorized to enter into any <br />agreements as may be necessary and appropriate for obtaining such funds; said agreements to contain <br />such terms and conditions and be in such form as the Director of Law deems necessary to protect the <br />public interest. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Coundl concerning and <br />relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this coundl, and that all <br />such deliberations of this Council and any of its committees that resulted In such formal action, were in <br />meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br />President <br /> <br /> <br />
