RESOLU~/ON NO. 7592-01 BY: Corrigan, FitzGerald, George, Roth, Seelie, Skindell, Smith. A RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Mayor, on behalf of the aty, to enter into an Agreement with the Board of County Commissioners to accept and expend Violence Against Women Act grant funds in the amount of $3,426 for the purpose of creating the City of Lakewood Special Investigations Project. WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood has been awarded $3,426 to assist in creating the City of Lakewood Special Investigations Project; and WHEREAS, these grant dollars will be utilized by the Division of Police for training of members of the Division of Police, Human .Services and the Law Department in the areas of domestiC violence, stalking and sexual aSSault; and WHEREAS, the Spedal Investigations Project will benefit both the City of Lakewood and the community by allowing City of Lakewood staff members to more effectively investigate, prosecute, and provide support services where the above offenses are committed. Now, therefore BE 1T RESOLVED BY THE ClTY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO Section 1. That the Mayor, on behalf of the City, be and is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an Agreement with the Board of County Commissioners to accept and expend Violence Against Women Act grant funds in the amount of $3,426 for the purpose of creating the City of Lakewood Special Investigations Project. Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Coundl concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements.
