RESOLUTION: 7685-02 <br /> <br /> BY: Corrigan, Dunn, FitzGerald, <br />George, Roth, Seelie, Skindell. <br /> <br /> A Resolution to thank Dan R. Clark for his outstanding service <br />to the City of Lakewood, Division of Police. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Dan R. Clark began workin~ for the City of Lakewood in the <br />Division of Police in 1972 as a Cadet; in 1975 he became a Patrolman III, in 1976 a <br />Patrolman II, in 1977 a Patrolman I, in 1984 a Sergeant, in 1987 a Lieutenant, in <br />1991 a Captain and in 1998 he became Chief of Police; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Dan R. Clark has played a vital role in the important work of <br />the Division of Police and his exemplary conduct and sense of fairness has furthered <br />the cause of better understanding, and he has been an influence for good in the <br />growth and progress of our community; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Dan R. Clark deserves our sincere appreciation and thanks for <br />his contributions to the community and he is to be highly commended for the <br />themannerDivisionin whichof Police;he haSand,carried out his responsibilities and duties as a member of <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Dan R. Clark has decided to retire from the Division of Police and we <br />wish to extend to him and his entire family our best wishes for much success and <br />happiness in the future. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and Mayor, hereby extend to Dan R. Clark the gratitude of <br /> the citizens of this community for his dedica[ed service to the Lakewood Community. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed to <br />forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Dan R. Clark and that a copy of this Resolution be <br />spread upon the minutes of the meeting. <br /> <br /> Section 3.
