RESOLUTION NO. 7748-03 BY: Corrigan, Dever, Dunn, FitzGerald, George, Roth, Seelie. A RESOLUTION for Lakewood resident Elizabeth Hankins as she is recognized as the Ohio Public School Orchestra Teacher of the Year for 2002, as selected by the Ohio Orchestra and String Teachers Association. WHEREAS, Elizabeth Hankins took over the Lakewood City Schools Orchestra' Program in 1993 and gave her full dedication to the program contributing leadership and a strong commitment to the students; and, WHEREAS, Elizabeth Hankins built the Lakewood City Schools Orchestra Program from 25 total members at the high school level to a string quartet, a chamber orchestra of 27, a String orchestra of 75, and a full symphony of 130; and, WHEREAS, Elizabeth Hankins' orchestras consistently receive superior ratings at state adjudicated events; and, WHEREAS, Elizabeth Hankins is wished continued success in her career and she deserves our sincere appreciation and thanks for her contributions to our community; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That this Council and Mayor, hereby extend to Elizabeth Hankins the gratitude of the citizens of this community for her dedicated service to the Lakewood community. Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed to forward a copy this Resolution to Elizabeth Hankins, 12963 Emerson, Lakewood, OH 44107 and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of the meeting. compliance with all legal requirements.
