RESOLUTION~¥NO. 7764-03 BY: Corrigan, Dever, Dunn, FitzGerald, <br /> George, Roth, Seelie. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION proclaiming the week of May 18-24th 2003 as Emergency Medical <br />Services Week; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, emergency medical services are a vital public service; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the members of emergency medical services teams are ready to provide <br />lifesaving care to those in need 24 hours a day, seven days a week; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, access to quality emergency care dramatically improves the survival and <br />recovery rate of those who experience sudden illness or injury; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the members of emergency medical services teams engage in thousands of <br />hours of specialized training and continuing education to enhance their lifesaving skills; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Americans benefit daily from the knowledge and skills of these highly <br />training individuals; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is appropriate to recognize the value and the accomplishments of <br />emergency medical services providers by designating Emergency Medical Services Week; mhd <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and Mayor declare May 18-24th 2003 as Emergency Medical <br />Services Week in the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Core, cji be and she is hereby authorized mhd directed to <br />forward a copy this Resolution to: Chief Lawrence E. Mroz, Fire Station No. 1, 14601 Madison <br />Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio and a that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this <br />meeting. <br /> <br /> Section 3.
