RESOLUTION NO. 7851-04 <br /> <br />FitzGerald, Madigan, Seelie. <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor, or his designee, on behalf <br />of the City, to enter into an Agreement with the Board of Cuyahoga County <br />Commissioners to accept and expend funds for the Ohio 3uvenile Accountability <br />Incentive Block Grant Program (3AIBG); <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has been awarded $11,596.00 by the State of Ohio Office of <br />Cfirninal ]ustice Services to continue the City's No Outs Project for a one year pedod <br />commencing 3anuary 1, 2004; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, annually the City has received awards to fund the No Outs Programs <br />that has been established to provkie services to area juveniles and their families to help <br />reduce the number of juvenile offenders and repeat offenders, to identify at-risk youth <br />for participation in anger management programs, to provide skill building services to <br />parents of juvenile offenders; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood, Department of Human Services, would like to <br />continue to provide these important services to juvenile offenders and their families; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Coundl by a vote of at least five (5) members elected thereto <br />determines that this resolution is an emergency measure, and that this resolution shall <br />ta'ke effect at the eadiest date possible as set forth in ARTICLE III, SECTONS :i0 and <br />13 of the SECOND AMENDED CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, and that ~t is <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public property, health and safety, and <br />to provide for the usual dally operation of munidpal departments in that these <br />agreements must be returned to the Ohio Public Works Commission within 45 days of <br />notice of award. Now Therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE Cz ~ Y OF LAKE'WOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, or his designee, on behalf of the City, be and is <br />hereby authorized to enter into an Agreement with the Board of Cuyahoga County <br />Commissioners to accept and expend funds for the Ohio 3uvenile Accountability <br />Incentive Block Grant Program (3AIBG). <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determided that all formal actions of this Coundl <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open <br />meeting of this council, and that all such deliberations of this Coundl and any of its <br />committees that resulted in such formal action, were in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, properly, <br /> <br /> <br />
