<br />Resolution No 7992-05 <br /> <br />By: C· D <br />orrlgan~ emro, Dever, Dunn, <br />FitzGerald, Madigan, Seelie. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION proclaiming the week of May IS-21st 2005 as Emergency Medical <br />Services Week in the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, emergency medical services are a vital public service; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the members of emergency medical services teams are ready to provide <br />lifesaving care to those in need 24 hours a day, seven days a week; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, access to quality emergency care dramatically improves the survival and <br />recovery rate of those who experience sudden illness or injury; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the members of emergency medical services teams engage in thousands of <br />hours of specialized training and continuing education to enhance their lifesaving skills; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Americans benefit daily ITom the knowledge and skills of these higWy <br />training individuals; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is appropriate to recognize the value and the accomplishments of <br />emergency medical services providers by designating Emergency Medical Services Week; and <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section I. That this Council and Mayor declare May IS-21st 2004 as Emergency Medical <br />Services Week in the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br />Section 2 That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed to <br />forward a copy this Resolution to: Chief Lawrence E.
