Substitute Resolution No. 8005-OS <br />By; Corrigan, Demro, Dever, Dunn, <br />FitzGerald, Madigan, Seelie. <br />A RESOLUTION supporting Detroit Avenue Realty Co. (also known as the Donato's <br />Pizza Parlor located at 18100 Detroit) application for funds from the Cuyahoga County <br />Brownfield Redevelopment Fund; <br />WHEREAS, the Cuyahoga County Brownfield Redevelopment Fund provides <br />fmancial assistance to municipalities and private developers to overcome environmental <br />barriers to re-use sites; and <br />WHEREAS, the City is interested in helping Detroit Avenue Realty Co. with pursing <br />that assistance in connecrion with the expansion of its facility at 18100 Detroit through, but not <br />limited to, the purchase and remediation of 18110 Detroit; and <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Administration of the City of <br />Lakewood, State of Ohio that: <br />SECTION 1: That the City of Lakewood does hereby support Detroit Avenue Realty <br />Company's application to the Cuyahoga County Brownfield Redevelopment Fund for <br />assistance with the expansion of its facility for the purposes of recovering the costs and <br />expenses associ2ted with acquisition, asbestos removal, building demolition, and site <br />renovation as provide by provisions of said fund. <br />SECTION 2: It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to this Resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and <br />that all deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal <br />actions were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements, <br />including Section 121.22 ofthe Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3: This Resolution is hereby declazed to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare of <br />said City, and for the further reason it is necessary in order to assist the application. process for <br />the Ctixyahoga County Brownfield Redevelopment fund; wherefore this ordinance shall be in <br />full force and. effect immediately upon its passage by Council and approval by the Mayor. <br />Adopted: ~ ~ <br />President <br /> <br />Approved: ~~5~ <br />/ 7 <br />Clerk <br />Mayor <br />
