RESOLUTION' 8007-05 by· Corrigan, Demro, Dever, Dunn, FitzGerald, Madigan, Seelie. A RESOLUTION recognizing the hard work and commitment of the Lakewood High School Girls Rugby Team, which led to an enormously successful 2004/2005 season WHEREAS the Lakewood High School Girls Rugby Team were victorious in capluring the 2005 Ohio State Championship and the 2005 Girls High School Rugby National Plate Champion as well as being ranked as one of the top four high school girls rugby teams in the nation and, WHEREAS Coach Andre Bruwer and Assistant Coach Garrett Prom and Special Coach Paul McCabe, along with team manager Alison Breckel, should be commended for their work with this fine group of young adults and, WHEREA$ the leadership of seniors, Leah Tardivo, Monica Redmon and Alison Woodman were crucial to the success of the team and, WHEREAS the contributions of team members Elizabeth Kelley, Alyson Murphy, Luca Bilauer, Sam; Pulver, Sarah Venovsky, Jessica Kelley, Kim Strick, Molly McFee, Paula Lanzer, Danièlle Rusnak, Brittany Cophen, Hannah Simms, Charlotte Van Dunzee, Molly Lape, Carol Kicielinski, Olivia Hemlund and Emma Melaragno have been outstanding and, WHEREAS the residents of the City of Lakewood are proud of these young athletes and their dedicated team effort and sportsmanship and, WHEREAS it is appropriatl" to recognize the accomplishments of the Lakewood High School Girls Rugby Team to extend to them our pride in their accomplishment BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO' Section 1 That the Mayor and Lakewood City Council would like to congratulate the Lakewood High Schools Girls Rugby Team for their hard work, dedication and success in representing the City in competition with other high schools across the state and throughout the country Section 2. That the Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to forward a copy this Resolution to Lakewood High School, 14100 Franklin Boulevard, Lakewood, Ohio, and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberation of Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements.
