<br />Dunn, <br /> <br />Dever, <br /> <br />Demro, <br />Madigan, <br /> <br />Corrigan, <br />FitzGerald, <br /> <br />By: <br /> <br />8015-05 <br /> <br />Resolutìon No. <br /> <br />See lie <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION recognizing the importance of downtown as it relates to the economic <br />health and quality of life ofthe City of Lakewood: <br /> <br />improvement, revitalization and development of downtown <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the continued <br />Lakewood is a City goal; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Lakewood Community Progress, Incorporated was formed to stimulate <br />economic development and preservation of downtown Lakewood thereby lessening the burden <br />of municipal government; and <br /> <br />generated <br /> <br />revitalization has <br /> <br />to downtown <br /> <br />Main Street approach <br />and support; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the <br />community-wide interest <br /> <br />commitment to provide <br />as well as an annual <br /> <br />City Council recognizes its <br />organization when established; <br />now therefore, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Lakewood <br />financial support to the Main Street <br />membership in Downtown Ohio, Inc. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br />SECTION I That the City of Lakewood does hereby endorse the concept of a local <br />Main Street program and the submittal of an application to the Ohio Main Street program to <br />become an official Ohio Main Street community. <br /> <br />SECTION 2 It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to this Resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and <br />that all deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal <br />actions were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements, <br />including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br />SECTION 3: This Resolutìon is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare of <br />said City, and for the further reason it is necessary in order to assist the application process for <br />the Main Street program; wherefore this resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately <br />upon its passage by Council and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />President <br /> <br />-s- <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br /> <br />~f))' <br /> <br /> <br />~-I--~I' <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />Approved: <br />
