RESOLUTION NO.: 8042-05A PLACED ON 1ST READING & REFERRED TO THE FINANCE COMMITTEE 2/6/06. 2ND Read 2/21/06. BY:Antonio, Butler, Demro, Dever, FitzGerald, Madigan, AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION amending Resolution No. 8042-Q5, adopted December 5, 2006 for the purpose of authorizing the Director of Finance to pay the cost of an additional membership (FB! National Academy Associates) of municipal employees and/or Departments and Divisions in certain associations for ~he year 2006, and declaring such memberships to be in the public interest. WHEREAS, memberships of municipal employees in organizations are designed to enhance the operation of municipal departments by the exchange of ideas, information and experience to the public benefit; and WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected there~co determines that this resolution is an emergency measure, and that this resolution shall take effect at the eadiest date possible as set fort~ in ARTICLE IlIf SECTONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND AMENDED CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOQD, and that it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public properly, health and safety, and to provide for the usual daily operation of municipal departments in that this addition .is necessary to purchase code books. Now Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ci'rY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 3_ That Resolution No. 8042-05, adopted December 5, 200S currently reading as follows: Section 1. That memberships in the following organizations and associations by employees and/or Departments or Divisions of the City of Lakewood are hereby declared to be in the public interest.
