RESOLUTION NO.: 8048-05 FitzGerald, Madigan, Seelie. A RESOLUTION to acknowledge Jennifer Demmerle Assistant Director of Finance for the City of Lakewood. WHEREAS, Jennifer Demmerle prepared the City's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the years 2003 and 2004 which incorporated many changes in the reporting format. While the majority of other cities were asking for extensions of their filing deadline, Jennifer saw to it that the CAFR met the June 30th deadline She saw to it that the City received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for both years which is awarded by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada; and, WHEREAS, Jennifer contributed significantly to the never ending Annual Budget which actually begins in July with the Tax Budget and ultimately is approved in March of the following year. She also made history by assisting Paul Nove[li, the City's Budget Analyst, in receiving the City's first ever Distinguished Budget Presentation Award also given by the Government Finance Officers of the United States and Canada for the fiscal year 2004 budget document WHEREAS, Jennifer managed the overall everyday functions of the Finance Department and was the Cai Ripken of Finance by being in the lineup every day except for the time taken off when her beautiful baby daughter, Taylor, joined Jennifer, proud dad Mark and big brother Luke on Labor Day 2004. Her professionalism, punctuality, project management, knowledge, enthusiasm and personality will all be missed Now, therefore; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO' Section 1. That this COuncil and Mayor extend to Jennifer Demmerle their sincere appreciation for her service to the community and best wishes to her and her family for much success and happiness in the future Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Jennifer Demmerle and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting Section 3 It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements Approved..
