<br /> A RESOLUTION con~amlating Jacob Boone, Matthew Carlson, James Dilzell,
<br />Jeffrey Haber, Ckristnpher Hill, Jeremiah Rm~som and Jacob Streitel for being awarded Cub
<br />Scout's highest award, the Arrow o fLight
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, during their tenure with Cub Scout Pack #115 these scouts earned
<br />individually the World Conservation Afvard and a total combined 59 arrow points, 156 Sports m~d
<br />Academic Badges and pins, 29 Ra.k Badges and 60 other awards and honors for service to the
<br />community and participation in outdoor activities, m~d
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, during their years of Cub SCouth~g, (he boys participated in many
<br />activities, acting as leaders of their den, participating in flag ceremonies, visJth~g governmental
<br />offices, camping, and lemming about the Purposes of Cub Scouting that include; Character
<br />Development; Spiritual Grow[h, Good CStizenship; Sportsmanship; Fan-dly Understanding;
<br />Respectful Relationships; Personal Achievement; Ftiendly Service; and Fun and Adventure, and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the boys learned the 12 core values of Cab Scouting and had the
<br />opportunity of demonstrating values such as citizenship, compassion, cooperation, courage, faith,
<br />health sad fitness, honesty, perseverance, positive attitude, resourcethhiess, respect and
<br />responsibility, and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the awards will be presented in a Pack Meeting Thursday, January
<br />i9, 2006 at Lakewood Presbyterian Church; now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT RBSOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OiciIO-
<br />
<br /> Section 1, Ttiat this Commil and Mayor wish to congt'atulate the seven scouts of Pack #
<br />115 - Dover-Rockport District, fro' being named the recipients of the prestigious Arrow of Zight
<br />Award and further wish to congratulate Cubmastcr Don Carlson and 5~ Grade WEBBLOS Den
<br />Leader Adam Hill for contributing to their success
<br />
<br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Lakewood City COuncil is hereby authorized and directed to
<br />forward a copy of this resolution to Cab Scout Pack 115 Cubmaster Don Carlson, and that a copy
<br />of tiffs Resolution be spread upon the minutes of the meeting~
<br />
<br /> Section 3 It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning
<br />and relating to the passage of fids resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and
<br />that all such deliberation of Council and of m~y of its committees that resulted in such formal
<br />action were in meetings open to the public in complim~ce with ali legal requirements~
<br />
