RESOLUTION NO. 8080-06 <br /> <br />Butler, Demro, Dever~ FitzGerald, <br />Madigan, Seelle. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Mayor for and on <br />behalf of the .City of Lakewood to enter into a Contract with the Cuyahoga <br />County Juvenile Court to accept and expend funds for the City's Juvenile <br />Diversion Program. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court desires to promote <br />and develop the Community Diversion Program utilizing community resources to <br />address juvenile misdemeanor and status offenders, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, since the City of Lakewood established the Juvenile <br />Diversion Program in :1998, over 650 youth have participated providing over <br />$,000 hours of community service, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, funding has been received from Cuyahoga County <br />Juvenile Court in the amount of $34,500 to support this program since 2004. <br />Now Therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD~ STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, for and on behalf of the City of <br />Lakewood, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract <br />With the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court providing funding of the City's Juvenile <br />Diversion Program. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this <br />Council concerning and relating to the passage of this Resolution were adopted <br />in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council <br />and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings <br />open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br />ApProved: ~.,(r.
