RESOLUTION NO 8102-06 BY' Antonio., But7.er, Desxo, <br /> Dever, FitzGerald, ?1adi.gan, Seelie. <br /> A RESOLUTION to recognize Eugenia Gorski, R N on the occasion of her <br /> retirement from public service in the Department of Human Services, Division of Health <br /> for the City of Lakewood <br /> WHEREAS, upon her retirement, Eugenia Gorski, completed over 30 years of <br /> combined public service; she has worked for the City of Lakewood for over 27 years <br /> and retires from the position of Assistant Director of the Division of Health; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Eugenia Gorski, developed and implemented programs to ensure <br /> the health and safety of Lakewood residents including Lakewood Gets the Lead Out, a I <br /> childhood lead poisoning prevention program and F,A.C T (Facing the AIDS Challenge <br /> Together); both programs continue to serve residents in Lakewood and across <br /> Cuyahoga County; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Eugenia Gorski has served thousands of children and adults in <br /> Lakewood; she is often recognized as the nurse who provided health screens to school <br /> children, immunizations to residents of all ages, health education to many groups <br /> including childcare providers and coordinated public health intervenfions such as control <br /> of communicable disease outbreaks; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Eugenia Gorski has always brought an eternal optimism, <br /> enthusiasm and positive energy to all her endeavors and it is fitting that all the citizens <br /> of the City of Lakewood express their appreciation to her for her dedicated service to <br /> the residents of the City of Lakewood; she will long be known as the "Face of Public <br /> Health" in Lakewood; and, Now therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> Section 1 That this Council and Mayor, hereby extend to Eugenia Gorski, its <br /> appreciation and that of all of the citizens of this community for her dedicated service to <br /> the Lakewood community <br /> Section 2 That the Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to forward <br /> this Resolution to Ms. Eugenia Gorski, 1532 Warren Road; Lakewood, OH 44107 and <br /> that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of the meeting <br /> Section 3 It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br /> concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open <br /> meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its <br /> committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in ~ <br /> compliance with all Jegal requirements ~ ~ <br /> Adopted ~i 2,90-6 ~p~r/`\ x~t~ <br /> PRESIDENT <br /> ~ ? f~ <br /> CLERK <br /> <br /> Approved ` , O>?s <br /> MAYOR <br /> <br />
