ReSOllltiOn No. $115-06 By: Antonio, Butler, Demro, Dever, <br /> FtzGerald, Madigan, Seelie. <br /> A RESOLUTION supporting the Partnership. for Working Toward an Inclusive <br /> Community; <br /> WHEREAS, Lakewood is committed to inclusion as a fundamental aspect of our <br /> community; and <br /> WHEREAS, cities and towns and the best place to make inclusiveness and <br /> everyday priority; and <br /> WHEREAS, the National League of Cites has designed the Partnership for <br /> Working Toward Inclusive Communities to support cities and towns in their commitment <br /> <br /> to inclusion; and <br /> WHEREAS, the National League of Cities and its members believe and inclusive <br /> community promotes equal opportunity and fairness; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Nafonal League of Cities and its members believe an inclusive <br /> community promotes citizen participation and engagement; and <br /> WHEREAS, National League of CitiesPresident James C. Hunt, councihnember, <br /> Clazksburg, West Virginia, has incited local officials to join the Partnership for Working <br /> <br /> Toward Inclusive Communities and to make a commitment to building more inclusive <br /> communities in their own cities and towns <br /> BE IT RESOLVED, by the City of Lakewood, State of Obio that: <br /> SECTION 1: That the City of Lakewood hereby reaffirms our commitment to <br /> <br /> inclusion as a fundamental aspect of our community,. pledges active efforts to seek to <br /> achieve that goal, and urges all citizens of Lakewood to join together to support this <br /> effort. <br /> SECTION 2: That the City of Lakewood joins the Partnership fox Working Toward <br /> <br /> Inclusive Communities <br /> SECTION 3: It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br /> concerning and relating to this Resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and <br /> <br /> that all deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal <br /> actions were in meetings open to the public incompliance, with all legal requirements. <br /> f <br /> <br /> Adopted' U 6 o" " `1 <br /> President <br /> Clerk <br /> Approved: ~ + <br /> Mayor <br /> <br />
