<br />RESOLUTION NO. 8157-06 <br /> <br />BY: Antonio, Butler, Demro, Deve~, <br />Fi.tzGerald, :Madigan, Seelie. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of at least five (5) members elected to Council otherwise, it shall <br />take effect and be in force at the earliest period allowed by law authorizing the <br />Mayor to accept, on behalf of the aty of Lakewood, fuur new Twelve Lead <br />Defibrillators from Lakewood Hospital valued at approximately Ninety-Three <br />Thousand Dollars ($93,000.00) to be placed on medical squadS. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the WESHARE medical committee recently upgraded field <br />protocols to Include the use of twelve lead defibrillators fur improved patient care; <br />and <br /> <br />I I <br />WHEREAS, Lakewood Hospital has offered to donate this equipment to <br />meet requirements of the protocols and to replace existing unlts¡ and <br />: : <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected <br />thereto determines that this resolution Is an emergency measure, and that this <br />resolution shall take effect at the earliest date possible as set forth In AKTtCLE m, <br />SEcroNS 10 and 13 of the SECOND AMENDED CHARlER OF THE CITY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, and that.lt Is necessary fur the Immediate preservation of the public <br />property, health and safety, and to provide for the usual dally operation of <br />municipal departments In that this equipment should be made available fur <br />emergency responses Immediately. Now, therefure, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAJ<EWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />SectIon 1. That the Mayor Is hereby authorized to accept:, an behalf of <br />the Oty of Lakewood, fuur new Twelve Lead Defibrillators from Lakewood Hospital <br />valued at approximately Ninety-Three Thousand Dollars ($93,000.00) to be placed <br />on medical squads. <br /> <br />SectIon 2. It Is fuund and determined that all formal actions of this <br />Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted In <br />an open meeting of this Council, and that all such delibe(atlons of this Council and <br />of any of Its committees that resulted in such formal actions were In meetings <br />open to the public, In compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br />SectIon 3.
