RESOLUTION NO: BY: <br /> 8178-07 Antonio, Butler, Demro, Dever, <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION recognizing that the month of May 2007 has been designated as National Preservation <br />Honth and acknowledging the 2007 Preservation Award winners within the City of Lakewo0d. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood has been identified as having many historic properties and has long <br />been recognized as a leader in historic preservation issueS; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Lakewood Heritage Advisory Board has been established to serve in an advisory <br />capacity for the purpose of educating, informing, and making recommendations to City OfficialS, Departments, <br />Boards and Commission, and the community on matters relating to historic preservation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Lakewood Heritage AdvisOry Board has instituted an awards program to honor <br />exemplary projects that have contributed significantly to improving the quality of life in the City of Lakewood <br />through the preservation of our historic architectural resources; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Keith Galest0ck and Mr. Fred Kemp have been s~lected to receive the 2007 <br />Preservation Award for Historic Rehabilitation; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. & Mrs. Lawrence Napolitan have been selected to receive the 2007 Preservation Award <br />for New Garage Construction; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. & Mrs. Russell Rybicki have been selected to receive the 2007 Preservation Award for a <br />Sympathetic Addition; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Ms. Ines Rehner Of Sweet Designs at 16100 Detroit Avenue~ has been selected to receive <br />the 2007 Preservation Award for Commercial Revitalization; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the intent of this awards program is to recognize and publicize the preservation, <br />rehabilitation, adaptive reuse, and Sustained maintenance of historically and architecturally significant <br />properties in the City of Lakewood. NOW THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CiTY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor recognizes that the month of May 2007 has been <br />designated as National Preservation Month and acknowledges the 2007 Preservation Award winners who have <br />contributed significantly to improving the City of Lakewood through the preservation of our historic <br />architectural resources. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and She is hereby authorized and directed to forward a <br />certified copy of this Resolution to Richard J. Sicha, Chairman, Lakewood Heritage Advisory Board, and that a <br />copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is hereby found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and <br />relating to the passage of this Resolution were passed in open meetings of this Council; and that all such <br />deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in any such formal action, were in <br />meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements including the City's Charter and Codified <br />Ordinances. <br /> <br />Adopted~/~ ¢q/,, ,,3,¢~~] <br /> <br />President <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br /> <br />
