<br />RESOLUTION NO. 8204-07 <br /> <br />BY: Antonio, Demro, Dever, <br />FitzGerala, cladigan, Seelie. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION to honor the Lakewood Christian Service Center for 25 <br />years of service to the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Lakewood City Departments and Divisions, especially the <br />Human Services Department, Divisions of Aging and Y Guth, Lakewood Police and Fire <br />Departments have grown accustom to the caring collaboration between the City and <br />Lakewood Christian Service Center in helping government serve the public, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, individuals, churches, community organizations and <br />businesses, have combined talents, volunteer hours and [mancÍaI support to provide <br />emergency and on-going self-help programs through the Center, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, thousands of Lakewood individuals and families have <br />received crisis assistance and crucial support, helping them to be self-sufficient and <br />productive citizens of Lakewood, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Lakewood Christian Service Center responses to human <br />need have expanded beyond emergency food distribution to include advocacy with <br />housing, utilities, child care, health care and employment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is only fitting and proper that the Lakewood Christian <br />Service Center, so integral a part of the Lakewood community be given public <br />cognizance and recognition, now, therefore; <br /> <br />OIDO: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br /> <br />Section I. That this Council and the Mayor extend to the Lakewood <br />Christian Service Center its congratulations and thanks for 25 years of service to the <br />community. <br /> <br />t <br /> <br />Section 2.
