<br />RESOLUTION NO. 8243-08 <br /> <br />BY: Antonio, Bullock Butler, Dever, <br />Madigan, Powers, Summers. <br /> <br />of Lakewood. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION to commend Patricia Majeski for her public service to the City <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Patricia Majeski walked into Lakewood City Hall in 1983 to work <br />as a clerk typist and was soon recognized for her outstanding skills and dedication, propelling her <br />to positions of ever increasing responsibility including among others; secretary to various <br />directors, administrative assistant in Community Development, interim Clerk of Council, and <br />finally until her retirement in December, 2007, administrative assistant in Public Works, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, coursing through changing administrations, weathering storms both <br />literally and figuratively, coming up against challenges great and small, Patricia Majeski was <br />known not only for her professionalism but for the kindness and wisdom she showed while <br />carrying out her duties, providing reliable, extraordinary assistance to those she served and to <br />those she served along with earning her the respect and admiration of her peers as well as her <br />supervisors, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the crucial role Patricia Majeski plays each year in organizing, <br />planning, overseeing, and managing the highly successful Lakewood Arts Festival is yet another <br />example of her exemplary work ethic, remarkable resolve, and sincere love for Lakewood, and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is only fitting and proper that the unsung heroes of municipal <br />government, receive due recognition and public cognizance now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That this Council and Mayor, hereby extend to Patricia Majeski its <br />appreciation and that of all of the citizens of this community for her years of public service to the <br />City of Lakewood and further that this Council and Mayor wish her continued years of spirited <br />walks, enduring happiness and lasting prosperity in her retirement. <br /> <br />SECTION 2.
