RESOLUTION NO. 8364-09 <br />BY'Antonio, Bullock, Butler, <br />Dever, Madigan, Powers, Summers. <br />A RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor as Director of Public Safety, on <br />behalf of the City, to enter into an Agreement with the Board of Cuyahoga County <br />Commissioners to accept and expend funds from the FY 2007 Homeland <br />Security Grant Program for a Community Emergency Response Team Project. <br />WHEREAS, the City has been awarded $1,700.00 on behalf of the <br />Department of Justice Affairs, Public Safety Grants Administration, for the <br />purchase of safety and training equipment; <br />WHEREAS, the grant program requires no match from the City; and <br />WHEREAS, acceptance of this grant will permit the City to purchase <br />specific training manuals, first aid kits, safety vests, raincoats, and other safety <br />equipment for CERT volunteers; <br />WHEREAS, these provisions are in conjunction with the plans of the <br />WestShore CERT Program; <br />Now, therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO <br />Section 1. The Mayor as Director of Public Safety, is hereby authorized, <br />on behalf of the City, to enter into an Agreement with the Board of Cuyahoga <br />County Commissioners to accept and expend funds for a Community Emergency <br />Response Team Project. <br />Section 2.
