Saris, Madigan, <br />Nowlin, Powers, Smith. <br />A RESOLUTION adopting the Cuyahoga County Emergency Operations Plan. <br />Whereas, Ohio Revised Code ("O.R.C.'~ Section 5502.271 specifies that each political <br />subdivisions shall establish a program for emergency management if the political subdivision has not <br />entered into a written agreement establishing either a countywide emergency management .agency <br />under O.R.C. Section 5502.25 or a regional authority for emergency management under O.R.C. <br />Section 5502.27; and <br />Whereas, the Cuyahoga County (County), by its Resolution No. 090868, as amended, has <br />approved and adopted the Cuyahoga County Emergency Operations Plan (CCEOP); and <br />Whereas, the County and the City of Lakewood have determined that, in the .interest of public <br />health, safety, and welfare, the CCEOP should be made available to the various political subdivisions <br />within the County and that the effectiveness of the CCEOP will improve with the participation of those <br />subdivisions; and <br />Whereas, in accordance with O.R.C. Sections 307.15 and 5502.29, the City of Lakewood has <br />determined that it wishes to fulfill its obligations under O.R.C. Section 5502.271 by participating in <br />the CCEOP, and the County and the City of Lakewood have determined that each will provide the <br />other reciprocal emergency management aid and assistance; and <br />Whereas, the Council of the City of Lakewood has reviewed the "Cuyahoga County Emergency <br />Operations Plan." Now, therefore <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1. That the Council of the City of Lakewood does hereby adopt the Cuyahoga County <br />Emergency Operations Plan. <br />Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and <br />relating to-the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that <br />all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action <br />were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br />Adopted: ~ 2v <br />Approved: 2"(/ <br />
