RESOLUTION NO. 8557-12 BY: Anderson, Bullock, Juris, <br />Madigan, Nowlin, Powers, Smith. <br />A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />at least five (5) members elected to Council, otherwise to take effect and be in force after the <br />earliest possible period allowed by law to allow the Mayor, or his designee, on behalf of the City, <br />to extend for a period of approximately three months the Agreement with The West Side <br />Community House to co-locate Parent and Youth Advocates and a Tapestry System of Care <br />(TSOC) Care Coordinator and receive reimbursement for costs associated with providing space <br />for those positions in an amount currently estimated to be $4,500.00. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood has received notification from The West Side <br />Community House that their 2011 Cuyahoga County Tapestry System of Care grant was <br />extended and that a portion of these funds reimburse the City of Lakewood for office space, <br />equipment, supplies, and associated overhead costs for the Parent and Youth Advocates and a <br />TSOC Care Coordinator; and <br />WHEREAS, the Parent and Youth Advocates and the TSOC Care Coordinators will <br />participate in the Lakewood Family to Family System of Care team, providing support and <br />advocacy for youth and families; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected thereto <br />determines that this resolution is an emergency measure, and that this resolution shall take effect <br />at the earliest date possible as set forth in ARTICLE III, SECTIONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND <br />AMENDED CHARTER OF THE City of Lakewood, and that it is necessary for the immediate <br />preservation of the public property, health and safety, and to provide for the usual daily operation <br />of municipal departments in that this Agreement must be submitted immediately to ensure these <br />services for Lakewood residents. Now, therefore <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, OHIO: <br />Section 1. That the Mayor, or his designee, on behalf of the City, is hereby <br />authorized to enter into an Amended Agreement with The West Side Community House to co- <br />locate Parent and Youth Advocates and TSOC Care Coordinators for the period of <br />approximately three months and to receive reimbursement for costs associated with providing <br />space for those positions in an amount currently estimated at $ 4,500.00. <br />Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this <br />Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and any of its committees that resulted in <br />such formal action, were in meetings open to the public, incompliance with all legal <br />requirements. <br />
