REFERRED TO THE HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES <br />COMMITTEE 2/6/12. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8558-12 BY' Anderson, Bullock, Juris, Madigan, <br />Nowlin, Powers, Smith. <br />A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />at least five (5) members of Council, or otherwise to take effect and be in force after the earliest <br />period allowed by law, establishing rates for each two-week session of the Help to Others (H20) <br />Summer Camp, a program of the Lakewood Department of Human Services/Division of Youth, <br />effective June 1, 2012. <br />WHEREAS, the current two-week Summer Camp session fee is $60.00, and <br />WHEREAS, the cost to operate the H2O Summer Camp has increased and a fee increase <br />is necessary to maintain the program, and <br />WHEREAS, the H2O Summer Camp is a program only for Lakewood residents, and <br />WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) of its members determines that this <br />resolution is an emergency measure, and that this resolution shall take effect at the earliest date <br />possible as set forth in ARTICLE III, SECTIONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND AMENDED <br />CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, and that it is necessary for the immediate <br />preservation of the public property, health and safety, and to provide for the usual daily operation <br />of municipal departments in that public information for the current program year must be <br />available by April 1, 2012. Now Therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, OHIO: <br />Section 1. That the fee for participation in a two-week H2O summer camp session <br />operated by the Department of Human Services(Division of Youth be and the same is hereby <br />established effective June 1, 2012 as follows: <br />Lakewood Department of Human Services/Division of Youth <br />Help to Others (H20) Summer Carnn <br />Two-week Session (each) $ 80.00 per camper <br />Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning <br />and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, <br />and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such <br />formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. <br />Section 3. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare <br />in the City and for the usual daily operation of the City for the reasons set forth and defined in <br />the preamble to this resolution, and provided it receives the affirmative vote of at least five (5) of <br />its members elected to Council, this resohrtion shall take effect and be in force immediately upon <br />
