RESOLUTION NO. 8580-12 BY: Anderson, Bullock, Juris, Madigan, Nowlin, Power.~,SSmihh. A RESOLUTION recognizing and thanking Kufner Towing Inc. for providing vehicles and towing services for use in extrication training by the City of Lakewood Division of Fire. WHEREAS, extrication training is critical for members of the Division of Fire, to improve their ability to safely and efficiently conduct a motor vehicle rescue; and WHEREAS, access to previously damaged vehicles allows for incident simulation and the practice of skills and tactics necessary in extrication; and WHEREAS, Kufner Towing delivered vehicles to Fire Station No. 1 on April 24, 25, and 26, 2012, and later retrieved the remaining parts at the completion of training, at no cost to the City of Lakewood; and WHEREAS, Kufner Towing's contribution allowed for enhanced training for the members of the Division of Fire, improving our ability to provide extrication services to the residents of Lakewood and the Westshore community. Now, therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, OHIO: Section 1. That the City of Lakewood hereby recognizes and commends Kufner Towing for providing at no charge to the City of Lakewood, junk vehicles to be used for extrication training and supplying towing services to transport the vehicles to and from the training location. Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were passed in an open meeting of this Council and that all deliberations of this Council and any of its committees that resulted in such actions were in meetings open to the public and in compliance with legal requirements.
