RESOLUTION NO. 8788 -14 BY. Anderson, Bullock, Juris, <br />Madigan, Marx, Nowlin, O'Leary. <br />A RESOLUTION honoring Firefighters Ryan Birth, Christian Flores <br />and Michael Tripodi for their inspiring work raising funds for the Josette <br />Beddell Memorial Foundation. <br />WHEREAS, the Josette Beddell Memorial Foundation helps families <br />in Northeast Ohio affected by cancer, and <br />WHEREAS, in keeping with their mission as firefighters to protect <br />and safeguard life, Firefighters Birth, Flores and Tripodi lead the campaign <br />for breast cancer awareness by selling 851 t- shirts, raising over $7,000, and <br />WHEREAS, the success of their campaign was attributed to the <br />outreach of their fellow firefighters and families and the greater community <br />deserving public cognizance and recognition; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br />OHIO: <br />SECTION 1. That this Council and Mayor commend Firefighters Ryan <br />Birth, Christian Flores and Michael Tripodi in borrowing from their ideals in <br />battling fires and lending them to the battle against cancer. <br />SECTION 2 that the Clerk of Council be and is hereby authorized and <br />directed to forward a copy of this Resolution to Firefighters Birth, Flores and <br />Tripodi and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this <br />meeting. <br />Adopted: e "e, '2J i <br />Approved: i`�2a✓� e� U It l� <br />Mayor <br />
