RESOLUTIONNO. 8791 -14 BY: Anderson, Bullock, Juris, Madigan, <br />Marx, Nowlin, O'Leary. <br />A RESOLUTION commending the Lakewood High School Girls Soccer Team for its <br />outstanding athletic achievements in 2014. <br />WHEREAS, The Lakewood High School Girls Soccer Team posted its greatest record <br />since the program's inception in 1991 with a record of 12 wins, 5 losses, and 1 tie, and <br />WHEREAS, stand -out achievements were realized from Mallory Shaw as she led in <br />scoring with 26 goals and 16 assists, breaking school records for most goals and assists in a <br />season and setting a record with total points in a season of 68. She scored in 16 of 19 games and <br />ranks 3rd in the State with most goals in Division 1 Girls' Soccer, and 5th in the State with <br />assists. Mallory Shaw received ALL -STATE Second Team honors from the Ohio Scholastic <br />Soccer Coaches Association (OSSCA) and ALL - GREATER CLEVELAND First Team honors <br />from the Greater Cleveland High School Soccer Coaches Association (GCSSCA). <br />and <br />WHEREAS, great acclaim and congratulations are owed Head Soccer Coach Vladimir <br />Godosev for inspiring and guiding these athletes to their fullest potential; now, therefore: <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1. That this Council and Mayor on behalf of the residents of Lakewood <br />commend the Lakewood High School Girls Soccer Team on their outstanding 2014 season. <br />Section 2.
