RESOLUTION NO. 8918 -17 BY: Anderson, Bullock, Litten, Marx, Nowlin, <br />O'Leary, O'Malley. <br />A RESOLUTION recognizing the scouts and leaders both past and present of Cub Scout <br />Pack 115 for the civic engagement, goodwill, and energetic spirit they have brought to the <br />Lakewood community for the past sixty -seven years. <br />WHEREAS, Cub Scout Pack 115 is among one of the oldest scouting packs in <br />Lakewood, affiliated with the Lakewood Presbyterian Church since 1950 and since that time has <br />served approximately 2,300 young scouts; and, <br />WHEREAS, Cub Scout Pack 115 has completed over 106 service projects to benefit the <br />community since its inception. Recent projects include yard work for residents in need, helping <br />to serve community meals, and helping to clean up at school events; and, <br />WHEREAS, these and other efforts have resulted in scouts earning 14,800 advancements <br />and awards over the course of the Pack's history; and, <br />WHEREAS, the current Cub Scout Pack 115 is comprised of 26 Cub Scouts in grades 1 — <br />5, including nine 4th and 5th grade WEBLOS who enjoy exploring Lakewood's parks and other <br />outdoor spaces as a way to earn badges and hone new skills, now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1. That this Council gives a warm welcome to the WEBLOS from Pack 115 who have <br />taken the time to visit the Council Chambers to participate in the process of local government <br />and lead us in the pledge of allegiance. <br />Section 2.
