RESOLUTION NO. 8995 -18 <br />BY: Anderson, Bullock, George, Litten, <br />O'Leary, O'Malley-;;Rader. <br />A RESOLUTION supporting the application of the City of Lakewood to the Cuyahoga <br />County Brownfield Redevelopment Fund Community Assessment Initiative in the City. <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary to conduct an environmental assessment of the property at <br />1384 Hird Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio, PPN 312 -33 -030, in order identify and remediate any <br />potential environmental hazards associated with past uses of the property, and <br />WHEREAS, there is funding available for the assessment of the property through the <br />Cuyahoga County Brownfield Redevelopment Fund Community Assessment Initiative to assist <br />with financing an environmental assessment of the property; and <br />WHEREAS, assessment of this property will improve the viability and marketability of <br />the site and the City will benefit from the information when assisting with the redevelopment of <br />this and surrounding properties; and <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to make application for a grant to fund the assessment of the <br />property through the Cuyahoga County Brownfield Redevelopment Fund Community <br />Assessment Initiative; and <br />WHEREAS, the City desired to support this application for funding, now, therefore <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, OHIO: <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lakewood supports the City's application to <br />the Cuyahoga County Brownfield Redevelopment Fund Community Assessment Initiative for a <br />grant to receive funding for the assessment of the property located at 1384 Hird Avenue, <br />Lakewood, Ohio, PPN 312 -33 -030, and commonly known as 1384 Hird Avenue. <br />Section 2.
