RESOLUTION NO. 9065 -19 Anderson, Bullock, George, Litten, O'Leary, O'Malley, Rader A RESOLUTION to congratulate DeDe MacNamee -Gold upon her retirement after twenty four years of public service to the City of Lakewood's Division of Aging. WHEREAS, Ms. MacNamee -Gold began her work with the Division of Aging in 1995 as Coordinator II where her hard work and dedication were recognized by her promotion to Senior Center Manager in 2001; a position at which she has excelled; and, WHEREAS, during her years of service to the Lawther Center, Ms. MacNamee -Gold has successfully overseen the daily operations of the Center, ensuring that meals were served and delivered, transportation provided and a welcoming environment nurtured where friendships could be been built and sustained; and WHEREAS, Ms. MacNamee- Gold's service has been characterized by compassionate care, advocacy, and the ability to forge community partnerships on behalf of Lakewood's senior population; and, WHEREAS, Ms. MacNamee -Gold will be sorely missed by her colleagues and the many seniors whose lives she has touched through her service; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, OHIO: Section 1. That this Council recognizes and thanks Ms. MacNamee -Gold for the impressive length and quality of commitment she has made to the City of Lakewood and its senior population over the course of her career. Section 2. That it is with bittersweet sentiments that we bid farewell to Ms. MacNamee - Gold and wish her many relaxing years ahead, perhaps as a guest at the Lawther Center rather than as its manager. Section 3. That the Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to transmit this resolution Ms. MacNamee -Gold and that a copy of this resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting.
