MINUTES <br />OF THE <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />LAKEWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />HELD IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />12650 DETROIT AVENUE <br />April 2, 2018 <br />7:30 P.M. <br />Regular Meeting of the Lakewood City Council called to order at 7:38 PM by Council President <br />O'Leary. <br />Present: David Anderson, Thomas R. Bullock III, Meghan George, John Litten, Samuel T. <br />O'Leary, Daniel J. O'Malley, Tristan Rader. <br />Also Present: Mayor Summers, Law Director Butler, Finance Director Pae, Planning and <br />Development Director Sylvester, Police Chief Malley, Fire Chief Gilman & Human Services <br />Director Gelsomino <br />Reading and disposal of the minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held March 19, 2018. <br />Motion by Mr. O'Leary, seconded by Mr. Anderson, to approve the minutes without the <br />necessity of a reading. <br />Motion adopted. All members voting yea. <br />* ** *OLD BUSINESS * * ** <br />1. Committee of the Whole Reports regarding Committee Meeting of 3/26/18, Ordinance 1- <br />18. Mr. O'Leary; Chair (To be Provided) <br />Committee of the Whole did meet March 26, 2018 the item on our agenda was ordinance 1 -18. <br />Committee of the Whole took three actions at that meeting on March 26`h. The first is insertion <br />of language into proposed Ordinance 1 -18 that would require liability insurance coverage for all <br />dogs in the City of Lakewood in an amount no less than $10,000. Secondly, Committee of the <br />Whole also voted to strike the section which had breed specific references in it. Third and finally, <br />Committee of the Whole voted to recommend adoption of Ordinance 1 -18 as amended and is set <br />forth in the substitute version before us this evening. <br />Motion by Mr. O'Leary, seconded by Mr. Anderson to receive and file the oral report. <br />Motion adopted. All members voted yea. <br />
