Anderson, Bullock, George, Litten, <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9074 -19 BY: O'Leary, O'Malley, Rader <br />A RESOLUTION to honor the 2018 St. Edward High School Football Team for <br />earning the Division I State Championship. <br />WHEREAS, it has become common to refer to Lakewood's St. Edward High School <br />as the "Home of Champions," and <br />WHEREAS, commendation and recognition are due to all members of the St. Edward <br />Football Team for a season of outstanding athleticism culminating in a stunning victory <br />against the seemingly unstoppable and undefeated Colerain Cardinals, and <br />WHEREAS, the St. Edward High School Football Team ended its season with an <br />impressive 11 -3 record, and <br />WHEREAS, by this outstanding accomplishment, the St. Edward High School <br />Football Team has brought recognition and honor not only to themselves but to the entire <br />Lakewood community, and should be recognized in a proper and fitting manner; now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1. On behalf of the residents of Lakewood, the Mayor and this Council we <br />extend congratulations to Lakewood's St. Edward High School Football Team for its <br />outstanding achievements during the 2018 high school football season. <br />Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and is hereby authorized to forward a certified <br />copy of this Resolution to Lakewood's St. Edward High School Eagles Football Team c/o <br />Coach Tom Lombardo; St. Edward High School, and that a copy of this resolution be spread <br />upon the minutes of this meeting. <br />Adopted: 'L, `� j I'l <br />/ CLERK <br />Approved: / 2 <br />/ MAYOR <br />
