Anderson, Bullock, George, Litten, O'Leary, <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2019-16 BY: O'Malley, Rader <br />A RESOLUTION to commend David W. Anderson for his exemplary public service as a <br />member of Lakewood City Council. <br />WHEREAS, on February 28, 2011 David Anderson was unanimously appointed by his <br />colleagues to fill the unexpired term of the ward 1 Council position. Mr. Anderson subsequently <br />campaigned for the position twice and was elected twice, with his current term set to expire <br />December 31, 2019; and, <br />WHEREAS, four of Mr. Anderson's nearly nine years on Council were spent serving as <br />Vice President, a position to which he was elected by a majority of his colleagues; and, <br />WHEREAS, during his time on Council, Mr. Anderson served enthusiastically on almost <br />every committee and established himself as an expert on housing matters, as Chair of that <br />committee without interruption since 2012; and, <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Anderson has embodied the spirit of public service as a member of <br />Lakewood City Council, fostering cooperation among colleagues, recognizing the hard work and <br />achievements of others, and setting a strong example as a thoughtful and compassionate <br />community leader; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, OHIO: <br />Section 1. That this Council does hereby commend David W. Anderson for nearly nine <br />years of dedicated public service as a member of Lakewood City Council. <br />Section 2. That this Council does hereby wish David and his wife Andrea along with their <br />four children Brianna, Reese, Luke & Benjamin, all the best in their future endeavors in <br />Lakewood and beyond. <br />Section 3.
