MINUTES OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE <br /> January 10, 2022 <br /> Meeting held virtually <br /> Present: Councilmembers Bullock, Kepple, Litten, O'Malley, Rader, Shachner <br /> Also Present: Finance Director Rancatore, Law Director Corrigan, Human Services Director <br /> Gelsomino, Council Ward 1 candidates Laura Rodriguez-Carbone, Aidan Lawrence, Lindsey <br /> Grdina, Kyle Baker, Clerk Bach taking minutes <br /> Call to Order: 6:01 p.m. <br /> Approval of the minutes of the November 15, 2021 Committee of the Whole <br /> Motion by President O'Malley, seconded by Vice President Litten to approve the minutes of the <br /> November 15, 2021 meeting. A roll call vote was conducted as follows: <br /> Yeas: Bullock, Kepple, Litten, O'Malley, Rader, Shachner <br /> Nays: none <br /> Motion passed. Minutes approved. <br /> RESOLUTION 2021-60 -A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it <br /> receives the affirmative vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or <br /> otherwise to take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law, <br /> appointing to the Ward 1 seat on Lakewood City Council for <br /> the remainder of the four-year term ending December 31, 2023. <br /> President O'Malley noted that Reso. 2021-60 has a blank in it. Upon completion of interviews <br /> and deliberation, he is hopeful that Council will be ready to make an appointment by the first <br /> meeting in February. He laid out the upcoming schedule for Committee of the Whole, including <br /> time on January 24h to deliberate on the above resolution. He noted that Brian Ventura, who had <br /> previously applied for the position, withdrew his name today. That information was previously <br /> shared via email. <br /> He provided guidance on the format of the interviews. <br /> Interviews for vacant Ward 1 Councilmember position <br /> Laura Rodriguez-Carbone <br /> Ms. Rodriguez-Carbone provided introductory remarks highlighting her public service,political <br /> experience at the local, state, and national levels, and an ability to navigate within diverse <br /> 1 <br />
