<br />ORDINANCE NO. 01-2022 BY: o' Malley, Rader, Shachner
<br />AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the affirmative vote
<br />of at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take effect and be in force at
<br />the earliest period allowed by law, to approve the editing and inclusion of certain ordinances as
<br />parts of the various component codes of the Codified Ordinances and to provide for the
<br />publication of such new matter.
<br />WHEREAS, various ordinances of a general and permanent nature have been adopted by
<br />Council but not yet included in the Codified Ordinances of the City; and
<br />WHEREAS, given the above, now is an appropriate time to contract with the City's
<br />codifier, American Legal Publishing, to produce a revised and updated version of the Codified
<br />Ordinances of the City; and
<br />WHEREAS, as set forth in Section 2.12 of the Third Amended Charter of the City of
<br />Lakewood, this Council by a vote of at least two thirds of its members determines that this
<br />ordinance is an emergency measure and that it, shall take effect immediately, and that it is
<br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public property, health, and safety and to provide
<br />for the usual daily operation of municipal departments, in that the publication and distribution of
<br />this latest update to the Lakewood Codified Ordinances is an essential resource and reference
<br />for government operations; now, therefore
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY CITY OF LAKEWOOD, OHIO:
<br />Section 1. The editing, arrangement and numbering and renumbering of the following
<br />ordinances and resolutions and parts of ordinances and resolutions are hereby approved as parts
<br />of the various component codes of the Codified Ordinances of the City, so as to conform to the
<br />classification and numbering system of the Codified Ordinances:
