MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF LAKEWOOD CITY COUNCIL AUDITORIUM March 21, 2022 7:30 P.M. Regular Meeting of the Lakewood City Council called to order at 7:50 PM by President O'Malley Present: Kyle Baker, Thomas R. Bullock III, Sarah Kepple, John Litten, Daniel J. O'Malley, Tristan Rader, Jason Shachner Also Present: Mayor George, Finance Director Rancatore, Police Chief Kaucheck, Fire Chief Dunphy, Public Works Director Ducu, Human Resources Director Claudia Dillinger, Planning Director Shawn Leininger, Law Director Corrigan, Human Services Director Gelsomino, Chief of Staff John Storey, Deputy Clerk Lascu, Clerk Bach Motion by President O'Malley, seconded by Vice President Litten to approve the minutes of the March 7, 2022 meeting without the necessity of a reading. All members voted in favor. Motion passed. Minutes approved. Motion by President O'Malley, seconded by Vice President Litten to correct the March 15, 2021 General Meeting minutes to read as follows: 7.SUBSTITUTE ORDINANCE 12-2021-AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the vote of at least two thirds of the members of Council,or otherwise to take effect at the earliest period allowed by law,to expand rental rights within the City of Lakewood allowing renters who tender their full rent plus any additional late fees and court costs,prior to an eviction hearing to avoid eviction for late payment of rent and setting reasonable late fees that a landlord may charge a tenant. (Ise read and referred to HPD 2116121;2""reading 311121) Motion passed.Substitute Ordinance 12-2021 was amended arae. Motion by President O'Malley,seconded by Vice President Litten to adopt S.Ord. 12-2021. A roll call vote was conducted as follows: Yeas:Bullock,Kepple,Litten,Neff,O'Malley,Rader Shachner Nays:none Motion passed.S.Ord. 12-2021 adopted. All members voted in favor. Motion passed.
