MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br /> REGULAR MEETING <br /> OF <br /> LAKEWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br /> AUDITORIUM <br /> May 2, 2022 <br /> 7:30 P.M. <br /> Regular Meeting of the Lakewood City Council called to order at 7:46 PM by Vice President Litten <br /> Present: Kyle Baker, Thomas R. Bullock III, Sarah Kepple, John Litten, Tristan Rader, Jason <br /> Shachner <br /> Also Present: Mayor George, Finance Director Rancatore, Police Chief Kaucheck, Fire Chief <br /> Dunphy, Public Works Director Ducu, Law Director Corrigan, Human Services Director <br /> Gelsomino, Chief of Staff John Storey, Clerk Bach <br /> Motion by Vice President Litten, seconded by Councilmember Kepple to amend item 41 on the <br /> agenda to include the Committee of the Whole report for May 2, 2022. All members voted in <br /> favor. Motion passed. Agenda amended. <br /> Motion by Vice President Litten, seconded by Councilmember Kepple to approve the minutes of <br /> the April 18, 2022 meeting without the necessity of a reading. All members voted in favor. Motion <br /> passed. Minutes approved. <br /> Elections for President of Council. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Bullock, seconded by Councilmember Kepple to nominate Vice <br /> President Litten for President of Council. <br /> Discussion: Councilmember Bullock acknowledged the service of Vice President Litten to <br /> Council and Ward 3. He expressed a desire to see more frequent leadership transitions in order to <br /> provide leadership opportunities for other councilmembers. <br /> On the motion: All in favor. Motion passed. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Kepple, seconded by Councilmember Rader to elect Vice President <br /> Litten President of Council. All in favor. Motion passed. Mr. Litten elected President of Council. <br /> 1 <br />
