Placed on 1st reading & <br />referred to FIN 11/21/22; 2nd <br />reading 12/5/22 <br />Baker, Bullock, Kepple, Litten, <br />ORDINANCE NO.47-2022 Marx, Rader, Shachner <br />AN ORDINANCE to take effect immediately provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />at least two thirds of the members of Council, or otherwise to take effect and be in force at the <br />earliest period allowed by law, authorizing the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director of <br />Public Works, the Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or the Purchasing Manager to <br />enter into service contracts in accordance with the Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood <br />in order to facilitate programs overseen by the Department of Planning & Development. <br />Contracts shall not exceed the total amount shown below without separate resolution of <br />Council. <br />WHEREAS, as set forth in Section 2.12 of the Third Amended Charter of the City of <br />Lakewood, this Council by a vote of at least two thirds of its members determines that <br />this ordinance is an emergency measure and that it shall take effect immediately, and that it is <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public property, health, and safety and to <br />provide for the usual daily operation of municipal departments in that delay could impair the <br />City's ability to provide necessary services in a timely manner for fiscal year 2023; now, <br />therefore <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, OHIO <br />Section 1. That the Mayor (Director of Public Safety), the Director of Public Works, the <br />Director of Law, the Director of Finance, and/or the Purchasing Manager is hereby authorized and <br />directed to enter into contracts, in accordance with the Administrative Code of the City of <br />Lakewood, in order to facilitate programs overseen by the Department of Planning & <br />Development in accordance with the Administrative Code of the City of Lakewood, contracts not <br />to exceed the total amount shown below: <br />Service Contracts $6,750,000 <br />American Rescue & Recovery Plan Act (ARPA) HOME Homeless Assistance & <br />Supportive Services Program <br />American Rescue & Recovery Plan Act (ARPA) State & Local Fiscal Recovery Fund <br />Americans with Disabilities Act Public Infrastructure Transition Program <br />Building Code Enforcement <br />Childcare Scholarship Assistance <br />Commercial Property Revitalization Program <br />Community Development Block Grant Program <br />
