(Baker, Bullock, Kepple, Litten, Marx, Rader, Shachner RESOLUTION NO. 2022-63 Ill A RESOLUTION to recognize Ward 2 resident Max Hoelker on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout as a member of Troop 293, St. Mark Catholic Church in Cleveland. WHEREAS, Max Hoelker worked his way up through the ranks of scouting starting as a Tiger Cub in first grade and progressing through all the ranks of Boy Scouts, culminating in his earning this highest rank of Eagle Scout; and, WHEREAS, Max's scouting journey has been intertwined with a myriad of other activities that include running cross country and track, writing for Flight Magazine, and participating in Student Ministry and Student Ambassadors, however Max's dedication to and passion for scouting never wavered; and, WHEREAS, Max will surely cant' with him a lifetime of cherished memories of weekends spent camping and hiking, summer adventures, among many other formative experiences; and, WHEREAS, only 5% of eligible scouts earn the rank of Eagle Scout, Max's significant accomplishments in scouting reflect highly on him, his troop, and the entire community, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, OHIO: Section 1. That this Council recognizes Max Hoelker on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout - the highest rank within the Boy Scouts of America. Section 2. That this Council recognizes Max's proud and supportive parents, his many encouraging troop leaders and all the many peers and mentors who have motivated Max on his scouting journey. Section 3. That the Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to provide a signed copy of this resolution to Max Hoelker and that a copy of this resolution be included in the minutes of this meeting.
