Baker, Bullock, Kepple, Marx, Rader, Shachner RESOLUTION NO. 2023-05 BY: A RESOLUTION to recognize Lakewood resident Peter Andrew Viglianco on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout as a member of Troop 287, St. James Roman Catholic Church. WHEREAS, Peter worked his way up through the ranks of scouting starting as a six - year -old Cub Scout with Pack 76 at Lakewood Catholic Academy and progressed through all the ranks of scouting, culminating in his earning this highest rank of Eagle Scout; and, WHEREAS, highlights of Peter's scouting journey have included his leadership positions as Chaplain Aide and Patrol Leader as well as his Eagle Scout service project to fundraise for and refurbish the school library at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic School; and, WHEREAS, in the years ahead, Peter will surely reflect fondly on warm memories of sitting around the campfire with good friends after long days of camping, hiking, and outdoor adventures; and, WI -AREAS, because only a small portion of scouts earn the rank of Eagle Scout, Peter's significant accomplishments in scouting reflect highly on him, his troop, and the entire Lakewood community, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, OHIO: Section 1. That this Council recognizes Peter Andrew Viglianco on the hard work, perseverance, service, and leadership that earned him the rank of Eagle Scout — the highest rank within the Boy Scouts of America. Section 2. That this Council recognizes Peter's proud and supportive family, Scout Master Eric Augustine, and the many encouraging peers and mentors who have motivated Peter on his scouting j ourney. Section 3. That the Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to provide a signed copy of this resolution to Peter Viglianco and that a copy of this resolution be included in the minutes of this meeting.
