RESOLUTION NO, 7684-02 BY: Corrigan,Dunm, FitzGerald, George, Roth, Seelie, Skindell. A RESOLUTION to honor the Lakewood Historical Society and Mr. Daniel Chabek for their participation in the 4"' of July Parade as Grand Marshals and to recognize their long-standing commitment to the people' of Lakewood. WHEREAS, Mayor Madeline A. Cain and the 2002 City of Lakewood Parade Committee chose the Lakewood Historical Society 'and Mr. Daniel Chabek as the 2002 Grand Marshals; and, WHEREAS, The Lakewood Historical Society is celebrating its 50"' Anniversary this year and offers a wide variety services to the community including providing school talks, special displays, information to residents, house histories and historical information on settlers, buildings and streets; and, WHEREAS, Mr. Daniel Chabek is a Well-known authority on Lakewood's history. He is the author of "Lakewood Lore: A Collection of Historical Stories and Profiles"; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That this Council and Mayor, hereby extend to the Lakewood Historical Society and Mr. Daniel Chabek its appreciation and that of all the citizens of this community for their exceptional community spirit and dedication to the Lakewood community. Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed to forward this Resolution to the Lakewood Historical Society and Mr. Daniel Chabek and that a copy of this ResOlution be spread upon the minutes of the meeting. Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements.
