Resolution No. 521. <br />By Mr. Zorn <br />A RES'OI,UTiON RATIFYING A GERTAIN CONTRACT FOR TREATMENT <br />AND DISPOSAL OF_ $ANITARY SSWAGE AND APPROVING RA'L'ES FOR <br />SUCH _ SERVICES, _AND DECLARING ;AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the Village of Mayf ield is located within a duly established <br />and existing Cuyahoga Connty Sewer District; and <br />WHEREAS, sanitary sewage emanating from said Village of Mayf ield has <br />. ? historically been treated and disposed of by the City of Cleveland under <br />; contracts providing for such services entered into bq the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Cnqahoga County, upon behalf of the Village of Mayfield <br />! and other municipalifi ies and tocroships loeated in the various sewer districts <br />i of Cuyahoga County, with the City of Cleveland; and <br />WHEREAS,- it is necessary that the facilities and services of the <br />City of Cleveland conti.nne to be available for the treatment and disposal <br />of such sanitary sewage and according2y the Board of County Commissioners <br />has eatered into contraet with the City of Cleveland under the terms of <br />which Cleveland will continue to treat and dispose of sueh sanitary sewage <br />until July 1, 1966, at a rate of compensation, f or the period f rom July 1, <br />1961, to July 1, 1966, equal to 80c,4 (eighty cents) per thousand cubic feet <br />of water delivered to any premises.in the Village.of Mayfield, £som which <br />sanitary.sewage is in any ma,nner produced; and WHEREAS, the tersns and conditions of such contract and the rates <br />of compensation as thesein set forth are in accordance with the decision <br />and order oF the Gourt of Common Pleas of Cuyahoga County ia Case Number <br />712,003, as evidenced by the journal entry of the court dated May 18, 1961. <br />NOW. TfiEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCII, OF THE VILI.AGE OF MAYFIELD, <br />STATE. OF QHIO,, THA.To <br />' Sec. 1. The action of the Board of County Commissioners of Cuyahoga <br />County in entering.into the contract.with the City of Cleveland, as herein- <br />before referred to, f or the treatment aad disposal of sanitary sewage emanating <br />from the municipalities and townships located in thr: various sewer districts <br />of Cuyahoga County, including this Village of Mayfield be, aad the same is,. <br />hereby ratif ied and approved so far as sueh action of the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Cuyahoga County purports to have been taken upon behalf <br />of and £or the benefit of this Village oF Mayf ield and the citizens aad <br />residents thereof and the owners or oceupants of real property located therein.
