ORDINANCE N0. 84- g <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Fred N. Carmen <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION <br />1333.01(a) OF THE CODIFIED ORDI- <br />NANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, <br />PERTAINING TO THE ADOPTION OF THE <br />1984 EDITION OF THE NATIONAL <br />ELECTRICAL CODE SO AS TO INCORPOR- <br />ATE IN SAID SECTION ALL AMENDMENTS <br />TO THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, on September 16, 1983, the Council enacted <br />Ordinance No. 83-16 amending Section 1333.01(a) of the Codified Ordi- <br />nances of Mayfield Village, Ohio, by adopting the 1984 Edition of the <br />National Electrical Code (NFPA No. 70-1984), said Ordinance to be <br />effective January 1, 1984; and <br />WHEREAS, subsequent to the enactment of Ordinance No. 83-16 <br />the National Fire Protection Association has issued certain Tentative <br />Interim Amendments to the 1984 Edition of the National Electrical <br />Code; and <br />WHEREAS, based on the recommendation of the Building <br />Commissioner the Mayor and Council have determined that the said <br />Amendments to the National Electrical Code should be incorporated into <br />Section 1333.01 (a) of the Codified Ordinances of Mayfield Village, <br />Ohio; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have further determined that, <br />unless otherwise specified by the Building Commissioner, it is the <br />intention of the Village to incorporate all future amendments to the <br />1984 Edition of the National Electrical Code into the Codified Ordi- <br />nances of the Municipality; now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1s Section 1333.01(a) of the Codified Ordinances <br />of Mayfield Village, Ohio, shall be amended to read as follows: <br />(Deleted material appears like this and new material appears <br />like THIS) <br />1333.01 Adoption; Enforcement <br />(a) There is hereby adopted by Council that certain <br />Code known as the 1984 Edition of the National Electrical <br />Code (NFPA No. 70-1984) and Article 700 of the National <br />Fire Protection Association, AS THE SAME ARE NOW CONSTITUTED <br />AND AS AMENDED FROM TIME-TO-TIME. <br />
