ORDINANCE N0. 84- 20 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Council President Richard C. Etzler <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION <br />147.05 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES <br />OF MAYF IELD VILLAGE, OH I0, PERTAIN- <br />ING TO MEETINGS OF THE COMMISSION <br />ON AGING, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. Section 147.05 of the Codified Ordinances of <br />Mayfield Village, Ohio, is hereby amended to read as follows: (Deleted <br />material appears like this and new material appears like THIS) <br />Chapter 147 <br />Commission on Aging <br />* * ~ <br />147.05 Meetings. <br />The Commission shall select meeting dates which are <br />agreeable to a majority of all members of the Commission. <br />The Commission shall meet no less than six (6) times per <br />year with additional meetings as required. A quorum of <br />€et~~-{4}THREE (3) VOTING members must be present <br />to conduct the business of any meeting. A MAJORITY OF <br />THE VOTING MEMBERS APPOINTED TO THE COMMISSION SHALL BE <br />NECESSARY IN ORDER TO CARRY THE VOTE ON ANY ISSUE BEFORE <br />THE COMMISSION. <br />Section 2. All prior ordinances inconsistent with this <br />ordinance in whole or in part are repealed to the extent necessary to <br />avoid conflict with this ordinance. <br />Section 3. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements, including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />.Section 4 This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, <br />for the reason that the amendments made herein are necessary to the <br />effective operation of the Commission on Aging.
