ORDINANCE N0. 84- 29 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Councilwoman Rochelle M. Bloom <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION <br />521.10 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES <br />OF MAYF IELD V ILLAGE, OH I0, PER- <br />TP,IN ING TO TRASH PICK-UP AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. Section 521.10 of the Codified Ordinances of <br />Mayfield.Village, Ohio, is hereby amended to read as follows: (New <br />material appears like THIS and deleted material appears like this) <br />521.10 Curbside Garbage Deposit; Regulations <br />(a) EXCEPT AS HEREIN OTHERWISE PROVIDED, no person shall <br />place or deposit on the curb or treelawn any garbage, rubbish <br />or other refuse intended for regular trash pick-up earlier <br />than .6 :00 P.M. on the day bef ore such 'pick-up is scheduled. <br />RESIDENTS SHALL BE PERMITTED TO PLACE TRASH BAGS CONTAINING <br />GRASS CLIPPINGS OR OTHER YARD MAINTENANCE REFUSE ON THE CURB <br />OR TREELAWN FOR PICK-UP AT ANY TIME ON THE DAY BEFORE SUCH <br />PICK-UP IS SCHEDULED. <br />(b) Whoever violates this Section is guilty of a minor <br />misdemeanor. <br />Section 2. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Ordinance have-been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compli- <br />ance with all statutory requirements including the requirements of <br />Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 3. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, <br />for the reason that the yard maintenance season has already begun. It <br />shall therefore take effect immediately upon passage by the affirma- <br />tive vote of not less than five (5) members elected to Council and <br />approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time allowed by <br />
